Congratulations on all of your hard work
 Heidi!

Congratulations on all of your hard work Heidi!

Full Name: Heidi Ann Erbsen
Pre-College Program:  Upward Bound Program at Highland Community College
What factors are most important to you in deciding on a college?  High standard programs, variety of majors, study abroad opportunity, and diversity in student and faculty.
Have you thought of a college you would like to attend yet? No.
Have you decided on a major?  No.
Favorite Subject(s):    Math, Chemistry and Geography.
Favorite Book:

The Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer and One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest by Ken Kesey.

Favorite Quote:

"That which does not kill you makes you stronger." -Friedrich Nietzsche

Favorite Food:  Sweet Pork Stir Fry (My favorite recipe to cook).
Favorite Artist/Musical Group:  Sara Bareilles
Favorite Movie:  Step Up (2006)
Favorite TV Show:  House
Do you have any pets, if so, what?    I have a dog named Hollister who is a puggle (that is a cross between a pug and a beagle), and a cat named Holly.
Do you have a job, if so where:  Yes, I work at Plumtree Ski Hill as a cashier and at the Yellow Creek Inn as a dishwasher.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

In my free time I like to read, run, work out, play basketball, cook and bake, dance around to music, write poetry and short stories, walk my dog, ski, hunt, sing, and just spend time with my family and friends.

Is there anything else you want to share?  I haven't fully decided on a major yet because there are so many subjects and activities that interest me.  I don't want to limit myself to one specific field.  New jobs and opportunities are always opening up.  I'm looking for a job field that will allow me to explore many different aspects of life and make a difference in society.

A Statement from Heidi's Program Director:

Heidi is a wonderful student and person. She is serious about her studies and her future and yet still loves to let loose and have fun. Her dedication, determination, follow-through, and compassion for others makes her a wonderful role model to her peers. Her work ethics are phenomenal and she really understands the value of giving her all to everything she touches. We are very proud to have Heidi as an Upward Bound member and look forward to seeing what she ends up doing with her life and what she offers the world.
