Do you have a job?:I work with my former ESL teacher at my high school; I assist her in teaching the adult students she has, and I also babysit the children that come there with their parents.
Pets: I have a pet rabbit named Ritz. She is an important part of my family, as well as her sister, Ribbon, who just recently passed away on Christmas Eve of 2010.
In my spare time, I like to... I enjoy spending time with my family, whether it's just sitting down with all of them for a movie night, or whether it's an outing where we can have a BBQ evening, or just going shopping together. I enjoy collecting stuffed animals and cards; these two things are my obsession, believe it or not. I also like listening to music because it inspires me in more ways than one. Reading and writing are two things that I will always be important to me; it's not something I do every day - it's a passion.
A word from Paja... I'm on a mission & my mission is to do what I've been meaning to do for a long time; I'm going to reach for the stars. I'm not sure where I'll be going or where I'll end up, but I know for a fact that I'll be getting somewhere. I don't what you would really call "experience," but my life has been an unexplainable storybook. There has been so many chapters that I`ve already walked in these 17 years of my life, and I can tell you that I've loved, and have been loved. I have made mistakes and I have learned from them. I've fallen down more times than anyone could count, but I've been held back up by family and friends. I've thought about many things, and now I'm living them. Life is mysterious, but I believe that everything happens for a reason. People have come and gone out of my life; I`ve had to choose one thing over the other one, and believe me, crazy things have happened. I've had to face countless numbers of obstacles, but even through all of this, I know that there is still so much to learn and uncover. With each passing day, I am going to make the best out of it. I've cherished every moment and I'll be looking back now and then, but I`ll be walking onward with no regrets. College is just the first step, and from there on, everything will begin to piece together.
A word from Paja's Upward Bound Advisor...
Paja is a self-motivator with high expectations for herself. She is persistent with her coursework; and at the same time, always willing to help another student out. Her positive and sincere personalities accentuates her many qualities. It is a pleasure having Paja as a student!
