Congratulations to all of you on your great work with eProfiles! Some of you may be just starting out and some of you may already be sending to and hearing from colleges. Wherever you are in the process, remember, it is important to always be updating your information and improving your ePAQs.

“How do I improve my ePAQ?” you ask? Great question! Below are some suggestions.

TIPS:

1. Academic Information

Remember to enter your Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA). This is your GPA for the entire duration of high school. It can be found by 1) on your report card; or 2) asking your high school counselor.

2. Groups/Activities

Any extracurricular activities you are involved with after school should go in the Groups/Activities section. When adding a Group or Activity, it may be helpful to the college if you explain what the group or activity is. The more detail, the more they will learn about you. Examples include:

Your TRIO Program

  • Student Government
  • Chess Club
  • Football
  • Future Business Leaders of America
  • Your Job
  • Any volunteer work

3. References

What others say about you is important. Choose references that really know you and can show that you are trustworthy, hardworking and friendly. Always make sure the reference agrees to have their name used. In the description area, describe the relationship you have with the person you chose. Your TRIO Director or Counselor would be an excellent reference.

Other good references:

  • Your employer
  • Any high school teacher
  • Your coach or advisor of a club

Remember, the more you add to eProfiles, the better! Good luck and keep up the great work!
